About Me
D. Donelson
I am a junior in my degree program majoring in
Information Technology. Interestingly, it was social media that began my
love for coding. I was around 12 or 13 years old when Xanga was popular,
and that is where I first used HTML. I found the endless possibilities
thrilling and got to work creating my custom webpage immediately. Later, I
began taking advanced technology classes in high school, with courses such as
graphic design, BCIS Telecommunications, and other computer applications, which
further sparked my interest in programming. I began my path to college
right after high school, but life derailed that plan quickly. Now, I have
a chance to fulfill my aspirations of working in the tech field and plan
to make a career change to IT eventually. Returning to school is the first
step in that plan, and I am more than halfway to that goal. My interests
outside of tech are anything in the genre of science fiction or fantasy, such
as Star Trek or Harry Potter. I spend my free time watching tv, reading books,
playing games, or going to events such as renaissance fairs or
conventions. I spent five years in a concert band playing the flute and
enjoy playing the ocarina. I took nine years of art classes, and my
favorite medium is charcoal.
